How to Apply for the Charge Up Workplace EV Charging Grants in Western Australia

The WA Government has opened the second round of the Charge Up Workplace Grants. Applications close on 4th May 2024. This initiative seeks to co-fund up to 50% of the costs associated with procuring and installing electric vehicle (EV) chargers in workplaces across the state.

With a generous allocation of $15 million in grants, this program is aimed at small and medium enterprises, local government authorities, and not-for-profit organisations planning to adopt sustainable transportation solutions.

As an approved hardware and software supplier for the Charge Up grants, Addelec + Gemtek is committed to supporting organisations in leveraging this opportunity. Here is how you can apply:

Eligibility Assessment

Verify your organisation’s eligibility for the grant, considering factors such as size, type, and operational focus. Home-based businesses, large corporations, and state-owned entities cannot apply.

Project Scope and Planning

Our team will work with you to define the scope of your EV charging infrastructure project. This includes advising on the optimal number and types of chargers (AC or DC) to meet your needs, whether for employee use, fleet charging, or public access.

Quotation and Selection

Addelec + Gemtek will provide quotes for the required hardware, software, and installation. We will also help you assess the benefits and features of our product range to ensure they align with your specific requirements.

Installation Planning

For installations requiring DC chargers and potential network upgrades, our team will assess the site and provide expert advice and quotes for any necessary electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Application Submission

Visit the application portal to submit the necessary documents and information. You will be notified of your application result via email within 20 business days.

Post-Application Installation

Following a successful grant application, our certified professionals will carry out the installation of your new EV charging stations. You can guarantee compliance with all safety and efficiency standards.

Grant Reimbursement Documentation

After installation, you will submit evidence of complete work for reimbursement through the application portal. We will provide you with the final invoices and details of the installed chargers. The WA Government will transfer payments directly to your bank within 20 business days.
